📣 POSTPONED - 10/3's Children’s Day Parade & Harvest Festival

Dear MVSD Families,

The City of El Monte has just announced that they are postponing the Emily Ishigaki Children’s Day Parade & Harvest Festival, originally scheduled for this Saturday, October 3, due to forecasted extreme heat.

We know many of our students and families were looking forward to participating. Event organizers made this decision to help protect the health and safety of everyone attending, including children, families, volunteers, and staff.

A new event date will be announced soon, according to their update. Follow the City’s social media pages for announcements:

• Facebook
• Instagram

Once we hear more details, we will be sure to share details about Mountain View School District and our schools' participation.

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to joining in the celebration of this annual  tradition in the near future.
