Positive Behavior Intervention Support
This is our second year of being a Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) school which guides our whole school climate. The entire staff spent a year developing school and classroom matrices, expectations, reward systems and many other aspects of PBIS.
We consider all students at Twin Lakes, to be "superheroes." Our memorable PBIS kick-off included appearances by several superheroes along with students receiving a PBIS School T-shirt, which is now part of our school uniform policy.
We have 3 Expectations which guide all behavior in the classroom and the entire school; they are "Respect Ourselves, Respect Others, and Respect Property."
Students are constantly rewarded with tickets, honored at assemblies and receive many prizes for following the expectations.
Our goal is to make positive behavior the norm at Twin Lakes.
